History
Johnson Salako is the CEO of telecommunications company MPS Technologies Ltd, Nigeria, and holds a master’s degree in Business Administration and a first degree in Civil Engineering, majoring in Environmental and Water Engineering. He also has a diploma in Marginal Fields Development and has achieved a certificate in Project Financing for Marginal Fields, as well as attending training courses in WiMAX Fundamentals and LTE Radio Planning and Optimization.

450 MHz Alliance
Johnson Salako represents his company, MPS Technology Ltd, through his membership of the 450 MHz Alliance, a group which promotes the allocation of the 450 MHz spectrum across the globe. The 450 MHz Alliance also seeks to grow and facilitate the coordination of the 450 MHz ecosystem with the aim of maximizing commercial benefits for stakeholders. It does this by improving the attractiveness and usage of the 450 MHz band through collaboration with its members, key industry organizations, and other relevant stakeholders.
Mr Salako was part of the 4G industry operators’ contribution to the National Broadband Policy; this input was incorporated into the final policy document unveiled in 2013. He also helped provide the industry’s contribution to the Petroleum Industry Bill (PIB) and has been involved in upgrading the National Public Security Communication System (NPSCS) through private-public partnership with the Federal Government of Nigeria.

When he’s not working, Johnson Salako likes to relax by watching his favorite soccer team, Arsenal F.C., and playing golf. Regarding the latter, he has a personal best handicap of 12 – this is higher than the average handicap of non-professional male golfers (in the USA), which currently stands at 14.4.
